菠菜网lol正规平台 School Safety Staff Present Check

The Long Beach Unified School District’s School Safety and Emergency Preparedness Division recently raised $2,225 in support of the Pink Patch Project, a national campaign designed to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and fund research, treatment and care of those who battle, or have battled, breast cancer.

The Pink Patch Project at 菠菜网lol正规平台, organized annually by the District’s School Safety team, raises funds to support local breast cancer research and treatment through the sale of custom pink law enforcement patches.

“Public safety employees at each of the participating agencies wear their pink patches on their regular duty uniforms each year for the entire month of October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” the campaign’s website states.

This year, funds from the 菠菜网lol正规平台 Pink Patch Project were donated to the Todd Cancer Institute at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.

“As a breast cancer survivor myself, [it is] really near and dear to my heart to celebrate this moment with our team,” Superintendent Jill A. Baker said.

The 菠菜网lol正规平台 School Safety team has participated in the Pink Patch Project since 2016.
